Anti-angiogenesis assay by immunohistochemical analysis with CD31. Inhibition of angiogenesis within tumor from IP-10 plasmid combined with gemcitabine therapy mice was estimated by immunohistochemical analysis. Sections of frozen LL/2 tumor tissues obtained from mice treated with normal saline (A), gemcitabine (B), IP-10 plasmid (C) and IP-10 plasmid combined with gemcitabine (D). Vessel density was determined by counting the number of microvessels per high-power field (E) in tumor sections stained with an antibody reactive to CD31 (brown).
