- PC-3 cells at a density of 1 × 104 in RPMI1640-10% FCS were seeded into 96-well plates for 24 hrs prior to the addition of 0.1% DMSO ± 10 μM ferric ammonium citrate or 10 μM LS081 ± 10 μM ferric ammonium citrate. Cell proliferation was assayed at 24 or 48 hrs after treatments as described in the Methods and the fold-change calculated compared to DMSO alone. Presented are the means of the fold change ± SEM of 3 independent experiments with each experiment performed in 3-4 replicates. * indicates P < 0.05, ** P < 0.01, *** P < 0.001 compared to Fe plus LS081 by 2-way ANOVA with Bonferroni's posttests.
