Synergistic drug combinations induce apoptosis. A: EPD and paclitaxel in single treatments induced apoptosis. Combination treatment showed an even higher caspase 3 activity. B: Cisplatin treatment alone did not induce apoptosis. Combination treatment of EPD and cisplatin showed a strong induction of caspase 3 activity.
