  1. The intensity of the tumoral staining was scored on a semiquantitative scale from 0 to 2 for the investigated biomolecule (0: no staining, 1: weak staining, 2: strong staining). For the statistical analysis using Fisher’s exact test the examined cases were separated into two groups characterized by a negative/positive expression for VEGFR-2, VEGFR-2Tyr1175 and VEGFR-2Tyr1214. The line in the staining intensity column indicates this dichotomization for each biomolecule. There were no significant differences between the groups
