Schematic illustration of the proposed mechanism by which RHBDD1 promotes metastasis in colorectal cancer. RHBDD1 activates Wnt-signaling pathway activity mainly through increasing p552-β-catenin and p675-β-catenin to promote cell EMT and stemness. Meanwhile, RHBDD1 increases ZEB1 expression. ZEB1 is a potent EMT activator and can regulate cell stemness. Thus, EMT and stemness promote colorectal cancer metastasis
