The combination of palbociclib with BEZ235 enhances cell death. MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with 0.5 μM palbociclib, 50 nM BEZ235 or with three schedules of treatments: simultaneous, sequential or sequential combined. After 72 h, cell proliferation was evaluated by cell counting with trypan blue exclusion (a) and cell death was assessed by fluorescence microscopy after Hoechst 3342/PI staining (b).
