LIFR is essential to miR-589-mediated promotion of GC cell behavior and PI3K/AKT signaling activation. a The upregulation of relevant proteins in PI3K/AKT signal pathway and downregulation of LIFR induced by miR-589 were abrogated after administration of LIFR in MGC803 and BGC823 cells. Transwell assay (b & c) and wound healing assay (d) showed miR-589-induced cell metastasis, invasion and migration were counteracted after administration of LIFR, Student’s t-test, mean ± SD, **P < 0.01; ***P < 0.001
