Effects of ALCAR in the induction of apoptosis in PCa and BPH cell lines. Induction of apoptosis was assessed, by flow cytometry, on (a) PC-3, (b) DU-145, (c) LNCaP and (d) BPH cells treated with ALCAR (1 or 10 mM) after 24 and 48 hours of treatment. Representative western blot images showing an up-regulation of Cleaved Caspase-3 (Asp175) in PCa cells treated with ALCAR 1 and 10 mM for 48 h.
