 A working model to illustrate how TG2 dynamically takes part into activities of DSB repair. Briefly, in response to the extensive DNA double strand breaks, TG2 is initially activated by phosphorylation by DNA-PKcs. Then the phosphorylated TG2 translocates from cytoplasm into nucleus, where it is further recruited or actively aggregates onto DSB sites and binds to TOPOIIα. TG2-TOPOIIα interaction is necessary for DSB repair and enhance the radiotherapy of lung cancer
