The orthotopic CRC xenograft model recapitulates the physiological metastatic process. A LUC-expressing PDOs were orthotopically injected into the colon of NSG mice, which were monitored for tumor growth by bioluminescent imaging (left panel). Upon sacrifice, orthotopic tumors and metastases were removed and quantified by bioimaging (central panels and right graph).
