Simulation of lymphocyte kinetics in the blood and SLO after a sudden drop in blood, using lymphocyte recirculation model developed by Ganusov and Auerbach, 2014 [26]. Legend: Following a sudden drop in the blood compartment at 25 min, lymphocytes in blood recovered to higher than 80% of their initial level in less than 200 min. This recovery occurred because of the recruitment of lymphocytes homing in SLOs. According to this simulation, the lymphocytes in SLOs (spleen and LNs) decrease gradually following their reduction in blood. Details of simulation are provided in the supplementary materials (Supplementary Fig. 3)
