PLK-1 knock-down modulated cell cycle characteristics and apoptosis in cisplatin-treated HeLa cells. A synergistic effect with cisplatin treatment (4 μg/ml) was demonstrated. A, PLK-1 siRNA significantly decreased G1/S arrest but enhanced G2/M arrest of HeLa cells; B, PLK-1 siRNA significantly enhanced the apoptosis of HeLa cells, demonstrating a synergistic effect with cisplatin treatment. Representative results of flow cytometric analysis are presented.
