The mesenchymal to epithelial transition(MET) and p68. (orange line) The phosphorylated p68 dissociated β-catenin from Axin destruction complex to nucleus, blocking the transcription of TCF gene, and regulating EMT related genes such as Snail2, fibronectin and vimentin. (green line) The phosphorylated p68 deconstructed the interaction between HDAC and Snail1 promoter, facilitating the binding of HDAC to the promoter of E-cadherin and blocking its transcription. (blue line) The destruction promoted the transcription of Snail1 gene. The Smad protein, associated with TCF, Snail1, β-catenin and some other transcriptional factors to form EPSC in tumors.
