Expression of HOXA1 and cyclin D1 in human gastric cancer (GC) tissues. a Relative HOXA1 and cyclin D1 mRNA expression in 48 tumor tissues and paired adjacent normal mucosae as determined by qRT-PCR. An increase (at least 2-fold) in HOXA1 and cyclin D1 mRNA levels compared to noncancerous tissue was observed in 32 (66.7 %) and 29 (60.4 %) of the GC tissue samples. The 2-ΔΔCt method was used to calculate the fold change. b Western blotting showed higher HOXA1 protein expression in GC tissues than in the matched adjacent normal mucosae. c Western blotting showed that cyclin D1 protein expression was upregulated in GC tissues compared to the levels in the matched adjacent normal mucosae
