Tumors in mice. C57BL/6 mice (n = 4–8 per group) were injected in the flank with 640,000 wild type Panc02 cells, mesothelin overexpressing stable Panc02 cells constructed using retrovirus (RV, clones 2, 4, 10) or pcDNA transfection (clones 2, 14, and 17) or control null-vector containing Panc02 cells. Tumor volumes were measured 3 times per week. Standard error bars are shown and Student's t-test showed statistical significance *p < 0.01 for all 6 overexpressing clones after day 24. ANOVA showed significant differences (p <0.05) between 1) the wild type and vector groups and 2) the 3 RV mesothelin overexpressing clones on days 30–39 (except for day 35): and for the pcDNA clones between 1) the wild type and vector groups, and 2) the 3 pcDNA mesothelin-overexpressing clones on days 30–41.
