Schematic representation of YAP/TAZ proteins. There are two major isoforms of YAP protein: the short isoform (SF) contains one WW-domain (WW1), whereas the long isoform (LF) contains two WW-domains (WW1 and WW2). TAZ is represented by a unique isoform with a single WW domain. In addition, compared with YAP protein, the SH3-binding domain and the proline-rich region are absent in TAZ protein.
